WHERE IS THE HOT-SHOT BASKETBALL CAMP LOCATED?

John C. Daniels School is the new location for the camp. This site is located at 569 Congress Ave., New Haven, CT 065159

WHEN IS MY CAMPER’S PHYSICAL FORM DUE? 

Your camper’s physical form is due on the FIRST DAY of Basketball Camp!! Make sure it’s completed and then submitted at the listed reception area for your camper’s division in the (HSBC) Facility.

WHEN DOES CAMP ACTUALLY BEGIN? SHOULD I SELECT A ONE, TWO, THREE, OR FIVE-WEEK SESSION FOR MY CHILD?

No, H.S.B.C is a five-week summer camp program for all of our campers! Our camp dates are Monday, July 1, 2024, through
Friday, August,2, 2024.

WHAT SHOULD CAMPERS WEAR/BRING TO (HSBC)?

Campers can wear sports apparel such as a T-shirt, shorts, socks, sneakers, and personal water bottles are allowed as well. Please place initials on all of their property, (ie, water bottles, lunch bags, or backpacks) in order to avoid mistakes brought on by duplicate or similar brands. 

WHAT MEDICAL PERSONNEL IS THERE WHILE MY CHILD IS AT CAMP?

We have four C.H.S.C.A (CT High School Coaches Association) certified, First Aid/CPR trained personnel available at all times at our camp.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE CAMP?

For Regular Day campers, the total fee is $200.00 for the entire period from Monday, July 1 through Friday, August 2, 2024.

If you require our Extended Day Service, it is available daily from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM for an additional one-time fee of $150.00. Including this service, the total cost for your camper's participation this summer will be $350.00.


WHAT DO ALL CAMPERS RECEIVE AS PART OF CAMP ATTENDANCE?

All campers receive the following:

  • Free Camp T-Shirt, Medals, Trophies, and Certificates

  • Free Breakfast & Lunch

  • “Time-Out” Reading Program

  • NCAA Eligibility Requirements Workshop (Grades 8 & 9)

  • Group & Individual Instruction

  • Motivational Speakers

  • Field Trips

  • Awards Ceremony & Cook-Out (August 2nd @ 12 p.m.)

  • All-Star Games (NIT, CIAA, NCAA, & NBA)

  • Special Contests

This year's Hot-Shot Basketball Camp will be free of charge for all participants. This is due to direct sponsorship from the New Haven BOE Department of Youth and Family Engagement through its Esser Funding Source.


Our Summer Camp will be free as long as this current funding source is available. When these funds are no longer available, HSBC will have to charge an admission fee for our services at that time. We are grateful to the New Haven Board of Education for their assistance in this worthwhile endeavor.
